Hints and Tips on application

If you are applying for training contracts at the moment, then take the time to read through the tips below:

1. Spell check your form!
   Spelling and grammar errors can really change the impression a recruiter has of you and your abilities, so make sure you check, check and check again.

2. Why do you want to apply?
   Make sure you research the firms you are applying to, and that you understand the reasons for applying to each of the firms. Be specific, and take the time to tailor your cover letter to each of the firms.

3. Work experience and extra-curricular activities
   Include information about your work experience and extra-curricular activities so that recruiters can understand how the experiences you have had have led to your decision to pursue a career as a solicitor. Extra-curricular activities can also be a great talking point in interviews.
